Welcome to RYE Advocate
A shortened form of the phrase, ‘Recognising You, Education and Advocacy services'
We develop and implement primary care solutions and activities to improve population health outcomes. RYE Advocate assists people with psycho social disability, their families, carers and service providers to transition to the new arrangements for disability support under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) through:
Building community capacity and engagement
Developing disability sector capacity and service provider readiness to manage the transition
Assistance with the required expansion and diversification of the workforce
Contributing to the evidence base
Aims and Objectives
The NDIS supports choice and control by providing needs-based, individualised funding to be used in a market-based environment. RYE Advocate aims to support the market, sector and workforce to transition to the new NDIS operational environment of full scheme by presenting training activities that assist individuals and organisations so:
People with psycho social disability are able to effectively exercise choice and control to shape the nature of the market
There is an efficient, responsive and innovative market that meets the diverse needs of people with disability and their families
Key performance indicators for RYE Advocate are:
Increased capacity of people with disability and their families to exercise choice and control, both in engaging with the NDIS, and in purchasing supports to assist in realising their aspirations
Developed understanding of how the NDIS can support people with psychosocial disability and their families and carers
Satisfaction with workshop materials and resources
